- Take a look at my modem page -- especially the section on UARTs and Windows
- system.ini settings.

- Above you say you have a "serial card w/o 16550". If you meant "w/o" like you said
- rather than "w/", then that could be part of the problem. If you have a 16550, then your
- settings may not be set properly to get optimum performance.
